Recently, I had the opportunity to help my daughter, BriAnna
with her Senior Thesis film project…
Margo and Jones
This film is a couple of years in the making from conception to production.
I had not a clue as to the amount of work involved in the pre-production phase
and the impact those details have once production begins.
This is not anything like shooting home movies!
Cast...Margo (Heidi) and Jones (Amanda)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My involvement was to feed the cast and crew.
An easy task for a mom, especially if you have been a PTA mom.
(who says those skills don’t come in handy)
The talent cast in this film are FANTASTIC
and the crew assembled AWESOME!
I had the best time being with both my kids
Jacob (my boy) was BriAnna’s DP (Director of Photography).
I was stoked to witness the great interaction between brother and sister
collaborating on this film project with mutual respect for each other.
(no sibling rivalry here)
An added perk for me was to view the interiors of the selected locations.
Location for Day 1 shoot was at the Gregory building in the Pearl District.
I loved the mix of vintage furnishings, modern artwork, and colors of the space.
What a treat for a vintage goods dealer!
There are more pics on the Margo and Jones FB movie page.
Take a peek and follow along as the project moves into post production.
Enjoy the Day!
